Hi,
I am Maryellen O'Brien, creator of Airy Fairy Dancewear. My passion is designing and creating beautiful costumes to the danceworld.

Airy Fairy has grown over the past 25 years producing a product I am extremely proud of. I love working with the dancers and teachers and have had the privilege of supplying costumes to the hit musical Billy Elliot in Australia as well as London, New York and Taiwan.
Our involvement with the Education Departments Schools Spectacular and other performing arts units performances has been very rewarding. We are also involved with the making of the cheer girls uniforms for a number of Rugby League clubs in the NRL.

Over the past years Airy Fairy has proudly supplied quality and innovative costuming to the dance community throughout Australia and overseas.

Airy Fairy Dancewear  provides a wide range of costume designs covering many dance genres accommodating  sizing for the tiny tots  through to the more advanced and committed dancer.

 

TAP AND JAZZ

Under the umbrella of Tap and Jazz we have included broadway jazz, funk, musical theatre and  all forms of commercial jazz.

 

 

MODERN AND LYRICAL

We have endeavored to offer a wide range of styles using beautiful fabrics and elegant designs to create that special costume for any dancer.

 

CONTEMPORARY

Our contemporary section is made up of unitard based designs with flowing overlays  giving the contemporary dancer freedom of movement with  firm body fit.

 

MIX AND MATCH

The Mix and Match section is filled with many  co-ordinated pieces that  can be purchased  individually giving the dancer the ability to create their own costume combinations.

 

TROUPES

We offer a range of costumes that are perfect for concert troupes.  We offer these styles at a group price with a minimum of 5 costumes in each style.

HIP HOP
This collection is filled with bright and funky costumes to cater for all the budding  little hip hoppers through to the bigger hip hop boys and girls.

BOYZ CREW
We cant forget all the boy dancers that want to look just as cool as girls. Let us create a boys costume to blend in with the troupe or choose from our range.
